Nominated for a One Voice Award 2025 - Best Demo Reel - for my new gaming reel

I’ve been nominated for Best Female Demo Reel for my new Gaming reel!

Now this was very much a collaborative effort. Massive thank you to Martin at Sonic Pond for his amazing production and direction. It’s no wonder you see Martin’s name throughout the list of demo reels that made the shortlist. He really is THAT good.

Thanks also to the incredibly talented Jess Nesling who wrote scripts for the vast majority of my reel. Not only is she meticulous in her work, creative and a JOY to work with, she’s also big inspiration of mine. Her own acting in videogames is impeccable and a constant source of inspiration to me. Yes I watch back gameplay on YouTube of other games and she’s right up there with the best!

I also got coaching with the wonderful Tilly Steele and Thomas Mitchells in the run up to recording the demo reel. I highly recommend Tilly and Thomas for anyone out there wanting to brush up their video game acting. These game directors and actors in their own right know their shit, are lovely people, and are brilliant to work with.

Thanks to the lightening-sharp Keith Higginbotham who helped me with working on accents. This guy will get under the bonnet of your current attempts at an accent and find exactly what it is that you personally need to change to improve, refine, and UNDERSTAND what you’re doing. Can’t tell you how worth it is to work with an accent coach of his calibre.

So as you can see, a lot of joint effort and many hours squirrelling away went into the making of this reel. So it's such a thrill to get a nomination. Especially when you hear the bar set by all the other nominees! Bloody ‘ell! A huge congratulations to you all.

I’ve just got my ticket for the awards and hope to see lots of you there. Very much excited for a rare big night out!

Full disclosure for a little dose of reality…it’s been a pretty disappointing year or so for me video game acting wise. It’s of course generally been a rubbish time for the industry overall. But also personally I didn't book a huge amount, and lost/had to let go of some roles for a whole range of reasons. But this I feel is a sign to KEEP GOING! 😂
