VOX Awards - Female Performance of The Year and Best Human Gaming Performance - winner!

It's taken some time to sink in but what an incredible VOX! I'm beyond stoked to have come home with a full heart and 2 awards:

✨ Best Female Voiceover Performance of The Year ✨
✨Best Human Gaming Performance ✨

Annie with her voiceover awards for Female of The Year and Best Human Gaming Performance for her video game work.

Now here are some things I wish I'd said in my speeches...public speaking in front of a room full of peers who I admire greatly is not a strength of mine and I went very, very blank.

A HUGE thank you to all the VOX Conference and Awards Team including Hugh Edwards and Peter Dickson! Hugh, Emily Charlotte Jardine and Stephane Cornicard gave incredibly inspiring talks on what sets us apart as human voices, and how to harness our human-ness-ness!

Massive thanks to the judges - I'm blown away that according to event host Katy Maw - UK female voice actor (who was fantastic and witty and a darn sight better than me at improvising on stage), the judges were unanimous in their vote for my Female Performance OTY Award.

A special thanks to Yoan Fanise and Kevin Bard and DigixArt Studio for my role of Zoe in Road 96: Mile 0. Zoe was a wonderfully complex and dynamic character. It didn't feel like work at all because I had so much bloody fun!

My agents Emily Dean and Mikee Goodman who I also consider my lovely, supportive friends.

And you know what REALLY made my day/night?

Getting to see my voiceover friends in person, and make new ones throughout day. Boy, have I had a bit of cabin fever the last few months since having my second baby...

So a shout out to Tiffany Clare, Scott Tunnix I Voice Over Artist, Anna Moorey, Jen Lawton-Hunt, Verity Uma, Kimberley Parker, Kate De Quidt, Emily Jardine, Susie Coleman I Voice actor, Rebecca Tanwen and all the other talented VOs I got to catch up with, sing with (hello post-awards-karaoke!) and celebrate with on the night.

Abi Phillips, we'd not met before but you came up to me after with some words I really needed to hear and that I'm holding close to my chest as I journey on through this world of voiceover...THANK YOU.

And a MASSIVE congratulations to all the other winners and nominees!

L-R: Susie Coleman, Scott Tunnix, Jen Lawton-Hunt, me, and Kimberly Parker.
