Made the SOVAS 2021 Shortlist!

I'm a SOVAS Voice Arts Awards  awards nominee! It was pretty mind blowing looking at the full list of award nominees to see names like Barack Obama, Julie Louis-Dryfus and Maya Rudolph come up.

The piece of e-learning work I did for Deichmann is up for Outstanding Narration - E-Learning Best Voiceover at the prestigious awards in the US. SOVAS (Society of Voice Arts and Sciences) will hold the Voice Arts Awards on December 19th 2021 at the Gugghenheim in NYC. I was so chuffed to see my name amongst others whose work I already admire in my own category.

Voice Arts Awards Nominee Badge

To be honest, I very nearly didn’t enter because I thought is was such a long shot and you have to pay to put yourself forward for a nomination. But that punt has paid off! And I’m glad I made that little unlikely-to-pay-off-but-worth-a-go investment. Taking some more risks is something I’d like to do moving forward and this has given me that bit more courage to do so.

Unfortunately I can't make the ceremony in-person in December but I’ll be crossing my fingers from the other side of the pond…
